Our Sparks program is designed for ages 5-7 for children who are new to our set of special programs here at RAD Moves Dance Studio. Sparks dancers will begin to explore a variety of genres, including Ballet, Jazz, and Tap. This program focuses on building a sense of sisterhood and brotherhood among like-minded dance enthusiasts. It’s a space where young dancers can deepen their love for dance, while improving their movement, turning, jumping, and self-expression skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Sparks are highly encouraged to attend weekly classes from September to May. They will have one performance this year in May and for our spring session they will be required to come regularly to classes and buy a costume for the show.
Our RAD Dance Team Advanced Program is a unique program for ages 10-13. In this Advanced RAD Program we aim to fosters deep connections between the dancers, encourage creative exploration, and provide our older dancers with the freedom to push the boundaries and explore their limits. This team is designed to nurture loving relationships, while offering dancers the opportunity to expand their skills and delve into the art of choreography. The program is designed to push dancers to the next level, with a focus on honing their skills and enhancing their ability to learn and make choreography.
Advanced Team Dancers are required to attend dance classes twice a week from September through May. We strongly encourage participation in our August Dance Camp, where we kick off the choreography for the year. The commitment involves twice-weekly classes, with additional team choreography rehearsals scheduled twice per semester on Friday evenings. Punctuality and consistent attendance are vital for success in this program. Team dancers will also have the opportunity to assist and mentor younger dancers, fostering leadership skills. Throughout the year, we’ll perform at several events, participate in at least one dance competition, and engage in team-building activities to strengthen our bonds and grow as a team.
